Volunteering at the NACE Gala!

I was very lucky to be invited to volunteer at the NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) 2010 Gala this week. My pictures do not do the Gala justice; it was amazingly beautiful, beyond words. Guests mingled and networked at the cocktail hour while strolling through a silent auction, enjoyed the sounds of a seven piece mariachi band, and were dazzled by professional tango and ballroom dancers. It was quite a night! It was a really great experience to see all that goes into planning an event like this and all the little details that make such a huge difference. The NACE committee did a spectacular job; what a successful gala!

Chris & Warlie's Wedding

What a beautiful weekend for a gazebo wedding at the Gardens at Heather Farms. Chris and Warlie were so great to work with, such easy going, nice people. Their families were so sweet and helpful in pitching in. The wedding was very cute: delicious cake with three different flavors, the couple's favorite TV shows as the table numbers, placecards handmade by the bride, candle favors, tons of orchids all around, cake toppers hand painted from Etsy that resembled the couple, and the guests showed off their moves to the electric slide and cha cha slide. It was so fun! Chris and Warlie were extremely happy.
