Eat Dessert First!

.... and with a gorgeous dessert table like this one.. how could you not?! I love dessert tables! It's such a great idea to have mini cupcakes (a lot of weddings nowadays have so much leftover cake, I am almost begging guests to take it home!) and a variety of different desserts, sure enough to please every guest! I had the honor of being a guest at my friends' Josie and Victor's wedding this past weekend, and this beautiful table, designed by Natalie Nguyen, sat right next to the happy couple. Gotta love the mini lego cake topper! Life is always uncertain.. why wouldn't you eat dessert first?!

Some tips for DIY dessert table: 1) add a lot of height using boxes and maybe some phone books under the table cloth 2) use a consistent color or color palette throughout the table 3) know the size of your dessert table beforehand 4) always lay out the table and desserts prior to the actual run on the plates, jars and towers you will use 5) Consider having a 6" cake for cake cutting 6) apothecary jars and nice plates can be expensive, see if you can borrow them from a friend or your caterer 7) it's perfectly fine to store buy your baked goods! 8) have the dessert table as your favor, provide guests with a mini container to take home some sweets!
